WNBA fans were buzzing as they shared candid reactions to the possibility of DiJonai Carrington teaming up with Angel Reese at the Chicago Sky. On Wednesday, Chicago Sun-Times reporter Annie Costabile revealed that Sky GM Jeff Pagliocca and coach Tyler Marsh met with Carrington and Courtney Vandersloot in Miami on Tuesday.

As news of the meeting between Sky officials and the reigning WNBA Most Improved Player circulated, fans eagerly expressed their thoughts on the potential pairing of DiJonai Carrington and Angel Reese on the same team.

"They met with DiJonai too? Ohhh if she moves to the sky that fanbase will triple their hatred," a fan commented.
"We will really be the most hated w her and AR lmao I love it," commented another fan.
"Ok. I mean dijonai would be great, i really like her style. Can't tell if i want her for sky or aces though lol," a fan said.
"Umm, nai would be the get of gets—she’s so amazing. I remember watching a late season last year where she just turned up the defense with consecutive steals, great passes, all-out suffocating defense & nifty buckets; she completely one-player willed her team back into the game," said another fan.
"Naw keep Courtney away from the sky give me Dijionai , Courtney is to old 36 and slow asf , Clark would run circles around her," a fan wrote.
"Dijonai Carrington you are a Chicago Sky!" wrote another fan.

DiJonai Carrington received qualifying offer from Connecticut Sun

DiJonai Carrington was recently presented with a qualifying offer from the Connecticut Sun, which has effectively restricted her from entering unrestricted free agency. Witht the move, the Sun ensured that they have the right to match any contract that the young guard may sign with a different team.

Prior to the Sun extending this restricted qualifying offer, Carrington had expressed her thoughts regarding the free agency process.

"My focus right now is to continue to develop my game and my skills. Hopefully teams will see that and my team obviously knows that. We'll see where it takes us," Carrington said.

As Carrington has now become a restricted free agent, the sole avenue for the Sky to acquire the 5-foot-11 guard would be through a sign-and-trade deal. The front office in Chicago would need to devise a compelling trade package to persuade the Sun, depending upon Carrington's own interest in joining Angel Reese and her teammates.

As for Carrington, the star guard is presently competing for the Mist Basketball Club in the 3x3 Unrivaled League.
