WNBA fans reacted to Caitlin Clark facing one of the worst nightmares of fame. A 55-year-old man named Michael Lewis has been reportedly sending violent and sexually violent messages to the Indiana Fever star on her social media, ESPN reported.

According to the reports, Michael Lewis has been arrested by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police. The named stalker has been charged with a Level 5 felony which might put him behind bars for six years with a fine of as much as of $10,000.

The news sent shockwaves through the WNBA fans on social media. Some of them termed the appalling behavior terrifying and hoped for the man to be brought to justice.

"Very appalling and scary stuff," a fan wrote.
"that’s terrifying behavior. hopefully, justice is served and Caitlin can feel safe moving forward," another fan wrote.
"This is unacceptable, bro. I hope that guy gets punished," a fan wrote.

One of the fans was hoping for a better year in 2025 but was left in disbelief at what it had come to.

"stalking Caitlin Clark in 2025? this is where we’re at now?" the fan wrote.

One of the fans took a shot at the White privilege narrative against the Fever star.

"Another example of her white privilege huh?" the fan wrote.

A fan was flabbergasted by the fact that the man had Caitlin Clark's address.

"Crazy a*sholes. Why bother that young woman? How did he even get her address? This some scary shit. I hope he never gets out," the fan wrote.

Details about Caitlin Clark's stalker and what we know so far

The incident of Caitlin Clark being stalked is not unprecedented for a person of her fame. The 22-year-old Fever star has been stalked by Michael Lewis for quite some time since last month. He's from Denton, Texas, but the details of his personal life are still not public.

According to court documents, the stalker had been messaging Caitlin Clark on her X in different instances between December 16 and January 2. He even bought tickets to see the Fever star.

In one of his messages, the stalker messaged her that he was driving around her house and asked Clark not to call the police.

"Been driving around your house 3x a day," Lewis wrote in his message to Clark. "But don't call the law just yet, the public is allowed to drive by gainbridge..aka Caitlin's Fieldhouse."
"I'm getting tickets. I'm sitting behind the bench," Lewis wrote in another message to Clark.
"They said I was sending threatening texts..but the only though on my mind was....CAITLIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNN," another message from him read.

According to The Guardian, Caitlin Clark told the Indianapolis police that she had become fearful for her own safety. She also said that she deliberately changed her appearance in public in light of the threat.

According to reports collected by ESPN, the FBI tracked Lewis' locations through the IP address. The messages were sent from Indianapolis Public Library and a hotel in Indianapolis.

When arrested from a hotel, the stalker told police that he was in the city for vacation and was in "an imaginary relationship" with Caitlin Clark.
