Connecticut Sun’s star Carrington was in the news recently in relation to Caitlin Clark. In the last game between the Sun and the Fever, the WNBA mocked the Fever rookie for flopping. On one of the plays, the Suns guard fouled Caitlin Clark while she was fighting through screens.
Just days after Carrington mocked Clark, Smith publicly rooting for her ex, Carrington, did not go unnoticed by WNBA fans.
"The corn terrorists not gonna like this," a fan wrote.
"Seriously. Enough already," another fan said.
Some fans in the comment section said that the Fever should trade Smith.
"Indiana Fever trade her asap," a fan wrote.

After the Indiana Fever lost to the Connecticut Sun, NaLyssa Smith's gesture toward DiJonai Carrington raised several eyebrows for multiple reasons. Post-game, Smith and Carrington were seen talking and hugging each other.
Additionally, this was the game Carrington had mocked Smith’s rookie teammate, Caitlin Clark, for flopping.
After fans questioned her loyalty towards the Indiana Fever, Smith took to X to address the issue.
"yall mad as shit," Smith wrote, along with six laughing-crying emojis.
The topic involving Caitlin Clark and Carrington is also one of the hottest topics in the league right now. Earlier, Carrington seemed to have taken a staunch stance against the Fever rookie for her silence on sensitive issues involving gender, race and homophobia.
She also said that with a platform as big as players have, staying silent is just a luxury for some people. Carrington didn't mention Clark in her Tweet.
