Fans speculated that other WNBA players have started to target Caitlin Clark. According to fans, there's a chance the Indiana Fever rookie might get suspended this season and other players are starting to take advantage of it. The speculation started after an offensive foul was called on Clark during their game against the Dallas Wings.

There was one specific play that caught fans' attention. Clark drove to the basket and power forward Natasha Howard initiated contact. During the contact, the former Iowa star tried to bump Howard off with her arm. However, she extended her off-arm and was called for an offensive foul.

Clark was upset after the sequence but couldn't do anything to make the officials change their minds. The All-Star rookie is trying not to get another technical foul as she just got her sixth technical foul in their 78-74 loss against the Las Vegas Aces.

After the foul called on Clark, fans shared their thoughts.

"The referees truly suck, I think they want Caitlin to get another Technical Foul," one fan said.
"These refs are just magically bad," another fan blamed the referees.
"I’m worried when they go to the playoffs. The Refs are going to be ruthless," a fan is starting to worry.

Other fans defended the call.

"An offensive player can’t initiate contact with the free hand to ward off a defender," one fan said Clark was clearly in the wrong.
"Flagrant elbow/forearm to the face," another fan analyzed.
"Yes, she pushed off with her left arm. Are you seriously going to dispute every single call you don’t like?" one fan shared.

Later, Kalani Brown played too rough as she contested Clark's shot and initiated too much contact against her. She was given a flagrant 1 foul.

Fortunately, the Fever still had enough juice to get the 110-109 win against the Wings.

Caitlin Clark and her technical foul troubles

During their Friday loss against the Aces, Caitlin Clark was issued her sixth technical foul. This happened after a defensive possession where she was called for a normal foul as she contested Tifanny Hayes' layup attempt.

In her frustration, she hit the base of the hoop. An official saw it and called her for a technical foul. With her sixth tech, there's a chance she could get suspended after she gets her seventh.

In the WNBA rulebook, a coach or player has a limit of seven technical fouls in the season before they get issued a one-game suspension without pay. After getting their seventh, any coach or player will get an additional one-game suspension after every two technical fouls following that.

The Fever only has one game left in the season, but if Caitlin Clark gets her seventh, that might affect the team during the postseason.
