Chicago Sky star Chennedy Carter jokingly called out NBA 2K over her likeness for the new installment of the video game on August 29. Carter, one of the most entertaining players of the 2024 WNBA season, has gained a lot of attention from fans in recent months.
Despite her Most Improved Player of the Year worthy season, it seems to be only enough to get the attention of fans as the developers of the video game gave her a generic face for 2K25. Carter took to Instagram to joke about her likeness in the video game.
"They wrong for this," she captioned the post alongside a tear of joy emoji.
Considering how well she has performed this season, one would imagine Chennedy Carter would have gotten a better treatment. She made sure to call that out and perhaps after the season ends or when the game receives updates, she may get a more accurate resemblence.
Chennedy Carter remained active on social media after being ruled out for Sky's Wednesday game
Chennedy Carter was ruled out for the Chicago Sky vs Washington Mystics game on Wednesday night due to health protocols. It remains unclear if she or any of her teammates are dealing with COVID-19 after the team shut down the facilities and canceled Tuesday's practice.
Carter shared a picture of her shooting form on her Instagram story and added a caption, praising the same.
"Ngl [which stands for 'not gonna lie'], my form isss sexxxxy," she captioned the story, alongside a heart-eyed emoji.
Teresa Weatherspoon offers an update on Chennedy Carter's health
After the Sky dropped the fourth consecutive game against a seemingly weaker Washington Mystics, coach Teresa Weatherspoon offered an update on Carter, the highest-scoring player in 11 of the last 20 Sky games. The Indiana Fever is the next opponent for this team and having Carter available can make a huge difference this Friday night.
"I'm sure she'll be fine," Weatherspoon said, via Julia Poe on X.
At this moment, she's listed as day-to-day. The Sky guard is averaging 17.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 50% from the field and 74.5% from the free-throw line.
With the Atlanta Dream (10-20) trying to snatch the last playoff berth, the Sky (11-19) must start winning games now. There are 10 duels left on the calendar to secure their return to the postseason.
