Angel Reese continues to have fun with her Chicago Sky teammates before the WNBA regular season resumes in less than two weeks. Reese shared some reels on social media showing the team having fun as a way to build team chemistry after going 10-14 in the first half of the regular season.
In a post on her official Instagram account, Reese released snippets from the team's activities on Sunday. They held a talent contest with the roster divided into three groups.
In one of the reels below, Chennedy Carter even did a backflip while the other group performed a singing skit.
Reese also wrote:
"This team is Top 5 funny."
Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky returned to practice last week after around two weeks of vacation time starting from the All-Star Weekend. The Sky has the luxury of building more team chemistry since other teams still have players competing in the Olympics.
Chicago Sky coach "wants more" from herself to make team successful
The Chicago Sky made one move during the break and it was trading sharpshooter Marina Mabrey to the Connecticut Sun in exchange for Rachel Banham and Moriah Jefferson. The Sky need to improve their 3-point shooting but there's a more glaring need in defense.
Head coach Teresa Weatherspoon preached team chemistry as she prepares the Sky for the second half of the regular season. Weatherspoon talked about demanding more from herself as her team prepare for the second half of the season.
"I always want more. I definitely want more from myself to be able to give to these young ladies, because it's my job to make sure they're in the position to be successful and the best versions of themselves," Weatherspoon told the Chicago Sun-Times.
Angel Reese not used to losing so many games
The Chicago Sky finished the first half of the season with a record of 10-14 and will have plenty of time to improve it to make the playoffs. Angel Reese is not used to losing a lot of games since her college career, so it's an adjustment and motivation for her as a rookie.
"I always knew I wanted to be a winner. I've done everything at the collegiate level. Coming in here, it's about doing the things that are required to have a winning mentality and make winning plays. We have a really good team. We know that, and it's just about being able to come together at the right time," Reese told the Chicago Sun-Times.
Reese and the Sky will resume their season on August 15 at home in the Wintrust Arena. They will welcome the Phoenix Mercury to things off before a three-game road trip against the LA Sparks, the Mercury and the Las Vegas Aces.
