"Throwin s**t" - A'ja Wilson's Las Vegas Aces teammate quips at 2x WNBA champion with highlight video

A'ja Wilson is a two-time WNBA Defensive Player of the Year who has led the league in blocks four times. Humiliating her opponents on the defensive end is one of the things that the Las Vegas Aces star knows perhaps better than anybody in the league. However, Wilson knows when to be humble.

Her Aces teammate Chelsea Gray posted a video montage by the team on her Instagram story on Tuesday. The montage showed Wilson blocking shots against her opponents.

Grey reposted the post on her IG story, hailing Wilson's block party.

"Yo you really be down there throwin sh*t 😬 @aja22wilson," Gray wrote in the caption.

Humbled with praise, Wilson wrote she was there at the right place at the right moment.

"😂😂😂 right place right time," Wilson wrote in the caption.

In 2022 and 2023, A'ja Wilson won the DPOY Award, and last season, she finished second behind reigning DPOY Napheesa Collier. Last season, the Aces star averaged 2.6 blocks per game, compared to averaging 1.9 blocks in 2022 and 2.2 in 2023.

Dawn Staley once made a big revelation about A'ja Wilson's college love life

A'ja Wilson played four seasons with the South Carolina Gamecocks under Dawn Staley from 2014-18. She won her first and only NCAA title under Staley in 2017 and also won the NCAA Most Improved Player in the same year.

However, given how the USC coach likes to keep her relationship with her players, she sure knows as many secrets about them as any friend would. When Wilson and Napheesa Collier decided to invite Staley on their "Tea with A & Phee" podcast, the Aces star barely had any idea what secret her college coach would reveal.

During the conversation, Staley revealed an incident when Wilson's mother found Trojan condoms in her daughter's trash can and let Staley know about it.

"Eva is the funniest lady ever, right? So, Eva went to go visit A'ja in a room," Staley recalled. "She told me she saw something in the trash can. She texted me while she was there, 'Something in the trash can!'"

When Collier asked what was there in the trash can, Staley yelled,

"Trojan man!"

"Oh my God! It wasn't the actual thing, it was the wrapping. At least she was having safe! So, young people, watch what you put in your trash! Your parents might come visit you." (Timestamp: 40:50)

A'ja Wilson and Staley developed a close relationship with each other at USouth Carolina. The Aces star previously said that after years of the close relationship, Staley had become her second mom.
