Phoenix Mercury guard Natasha Cloud has an issue with the upcoming TikTok ban in the United States taking precedence over another school shooting. Cloud was critical of legislators amid the Abundant Life Christian School shooting in Madison, Wisconsin on Monday.

The one-time WNBA champion took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to show her frustration with what lawmakers are prioritizing. School shootings have been prevalent in the U.S., with some people calling for the banning of guns or at least better gun control.

"We are banning TikTok before any legislation surrounding guns after another school shooting," Cloud tweeted.

TikTok could be banned in the United States next month, though it's already prohibited by government employees and agencies. While Natasha Cloud had some good intentions behind her tweet, some fans are not opposed to the ban since social media is also doing harm to people.

"TikTok causes more issues than guns," a fan responded.
"Social media has done more harm to our country than guns have. Our mental health is at an all time low," one fan claimed.
"Mental Illness is being ignored. How we treat each other is on Social Media and what is a reflection of it. Did you even read (suspect) manifesto?" another fan asked.

Gun control is a hot topic in the United States, and many are opposed to it despite a lot of school and mass shootings over the past 30 years. Some even asked Natasha Cloud what law could have prevented the Abundant Life Christian School shooting.

"What legislation are you pointing at specifically? Can you cite the bill? The latest Madison shooting was done with a 9mm handgun, is there something out that bans 9mm?" a fan questioned.
"What legislation would have prevented the tragic shooting?" one fan asked.
"There's no potential legislation that would have stopped this school shooting. The shooter obtained her weapons illegally," another fan commented.

According to multiple news outlets, three people died during the shooting including the 15-year-old perpetrator named Natalie Rupnow. One teacher and a 14-year-old student passed away on the scene and three more are in the hospital.

Natasha Cloud once called the United States 'trash' in an online rant

In a fiery X rant last June 2023, Natasha Cloud went off on the United States for the oppression of minorities. Cloud even called her own country "trash" for its lack of effort in giving equal rights to people of color and the LGBTQ+ communities.

"Our country is trash in so many ways, and instead of using our resources to make it better, we continue to oppress Marginalized groups that we have targeted since the beginning of times. Black/brown communities& LGBTQ+ man we are too powerful to still be attacking issues separate," Cloud tweeted.

The then-Washington Mystics star was bombarded by patriots, but she didn't back down and even doubled down on her stance. She refused to apologize for the rant and laughed at the people telling her to move to a different country like China or Russia.
