Keith Porter has joined the Indiana Fever, as the franchise keeps adding major names to the coaching staff. Porter is one of the most sought-after Player Development coaches in the WNBA.

Stephanie White will reunite with Porter at Gainbridge Fieldhouse to try to lead Caitlin Clark and Co. to win a championship. During a conversation on Syndicate Nation on Dec. 12, Porter revealed he had decided to continue his coaching career with the Fever after spending two years with the Sun.

"I will no longer be working for the Connecticut Sun. I've officially accepted an offer to be the Player Development coach for the Indiana Fever," he announced.

He was asked about the decision to leave the Sun and play for the Fever, mentioning Caitlin Clark's high potential as a major reason to move to Indiana this offseason.

"I'm excited, I'm nervous, 'cause you know, I've been here my whole life, so, I'm fully relocating and walking away from everything that I've pretty much grown here in Connecticut, is a little scary but I'm excited for the next chapter because this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I'm going to have, to train a person that has the potential to be one of the greatest women athletes ever, with extreme impact and an organization that seems so family-oriented," he added.

This is a big move for Keith Porter, the Indiana Fever and especially Caitlin Clark. He's been one of the best Player Development coaches in the league for several years and his addition to the Fever could make a big impact.

Keith Porter's recent success should have fans pumped

Keith Porter played an important role in developing All-WNBA First-Team member Alyssa Thomas, WNBA All-Stars DeWanna Bonner and Brionna Jones, as well as reigning Most Improved Player DiJonai Carrington.

Seeing how Tyler Marsh went from having the same role on the Las Vegas Aces to becoming a head coach with the Chicago Sky, Porter could emulate him if he keeps thriving in his new chapter with the Fever.

After parting ways with Christie Sides in the offseason, the Indiana Fever brought Stephanie White to take this squad to the next level and become a championship contender.

Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston are expected to lead this team to the promised land, but they can also add more firepower in free agency. It seems like pieces are falling into place for the Fever's aspirations.
