Caitlin Clark might not be playing in Unrivaled or overseas, but she's keeping herself busy this offseason. Clark was back in the lab on Monday with new Indiana Fever coach Stephanie White. One of her former Iowa teammates reacted to a video of her workout.
In an Instagram post, the Fever shared the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year and TIME Magazine Athlete of the Year is in the gym with coach White, doing drills and practicing her midrange jump shots. She also showed off floaters using her hands just like Steph Curry.
Former Iowa teammate Monika Czinano re-posted it on her Instagram stories and asked if it was meant to be a "thirst trap." Czinano and Clark played together for three seasons from 2020 to 2023.
"Was this meant to be a thirst trap?" Czinano asked.
Some fans even noticed that Caitlin Clark put on a little bit of muscle as she worked drills with coach Stephanie White. The Fever reunited with their former player and coach this offseason. The Fever made the playoffs last season with coach Christie Sides, but the franchise wanted to start fresh.
White was coming off two successful years with Connecticut Sun, but she wanted to come home. She's from West Lebanon, Indiana, and was a former Fever player from 2000 to 2004. She was an assistant coach from 2011 to 2014 before taking over as head coach from 2015 to 2016.
Considered one of the best coaches in the WNBA, White is expected to boost Clark's confidence and play next season. The Indiana Fever also have some cap space to sign free agents, possibly surrounding CC with more talent.
Another Iowa teammate reacted to Caitlin Clark's first workout with Stephanie White
In addition to Monika Czinano, another former Iowa teammate reacted to Caitlin Clark's workout. Jada Gyamfi, who still plays for the Hawkeyes, shared it on her Instagram stories and pointed out one of her drills.
"Mixed in some lefty lays," Gyamfi wrote.
Gyamfi and Clark were teammates at Iowa from 2022 to 2024, helping the Hawkeyes reach the NCAA championship game in both seasons. Gyamfi plays for Iowa and is currently averaging 2.0 points per game off the bench.
Clark has had a busy offseason, going back and forth from Indiana to Iowa. She has been very supportive of his boyfriend Connor McCaffery's stint as assistant coach for Butler. She has also attended red-carpet events, played golf at The Annika, and watched Taylor Swift's concert.
