Minnesota Lynx win without injured All-Star Napheesa Collier
The Minnesota Lynx's 74-67 victory over the Washington Mystics at home on Saturday was fashioned without their All-Star forward Napheesa Collier, who missed the game because of a foot injury suffered in their previous game against the Connecticut Sun.
Collier is averaging a double-double of 20 points and 10.2 rebounds in the ongoing WNBA season, to go along witth 3.7 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.5 blocks in 35 minutes of play.
She's set to play in the Paris Olympic Games beginning later this month as a member of the U.S. women's national basketball team. They will battle the WNBA All-Star squad in this year's WNBA All-Star Game on July 20 in Phoenix as part of its preparations.
However, despite the absence of Collier, the Lynx held off the Mystics, with Cecilia Zandalasini providing excellent help off the bench with all-around numbers of 10 points, three rebounds and two steals.
