A'ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces hopped on the viral 'give me my money' Tik-Tok trend after securing a close 78-74 victory over the Indiana Fever on Friday. Wilson posted the video of the Aces players performing the trend on her Instagram account.
Wilson accompanied a caption with the video for her 1.2 million followers on the social media platform.
"Just give me my money @lvaces," Wilson wrote.
In the video, the Las Vegas Aces players performed the 'give me my money' trend, with coach Becky Hammon also joining in. A'ja Wilson starts the video by saying the catchphrase, followed by the team's rookie, Kate Martin, after which star guard Kelsey Plum takes center stage.
The remaining Aces players follow up, each of them saying the catchphrase one by one as the others cheer them on. Just like other 'give me my money' videos, there's usually a person who becomes the target of the prank, and the squad decided to pull the prank on Hammon.
Hammon went last and delved deep into the character as she said the catchphrase. To her surprise, no one cheered for her making the prank successful. The Aces players laughed hard at the end as Wilson turned off the camera.
A'ja Wilson scored a double-double as the Las Vegas Aces secured a fourth consecutive win against the Fever
The Las Vegas Aces have faced the Indiana Fever four times this season and have not dropped a single game against the Caitlin Clark-led squad. A'ja Wilson delivered a strong performance on Friday, scoring a double-double with 15 points, 17 rebounds and one assist, helping her team secure back-to-back wins against the Fever.
Chelsea Gray led the charts for the Aces with 21 points, two rebounds and six crucial assists. Kelsey Plum played the perfect support for her team netting 18 points, collecting three rebounds and dishing out three assists to seal victory at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The Indiana Fever put up a tough competition earning the praise of the Aces coach Becky Hammon. The coach called the Fever trio of Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell, a three-headed monster who were hard to outscore. Mitchell netted 20 points, Clark posted 18 points while Boston scored 14 points in their disappointing loss on Friday.
