Las Vegas Aces rookie guard Kate Martin continues to enjoy the Olympic break, and this time, she went on a drive around the Red Rock Grand Canyons in Nevada. On Saturday, Martin was seen in her widely-reported girlfriend Claire Gransee's Instagram story. The two University of Iowa products were riding a $21,999 vehicle and seemed to be enjoying a great time together.

In a post on her Instagram stories, Gransee shared a short reel of herself with Martin inside a Polaris Slingshot S driving around the Red Rock Grand Canyons. The pair are enjoying the Aces' time off since returning to practice a couple of weeks ago.

Here's the video of Martin and Gransee:

The WNBA season is set to resume in less than a week, with the Aces back in action on Saturday, Aug. 17. It will be a rematch of the 2023 WNBA Finals as the New York Liberty take on the back-to-back defending champions at Michelob ULTRA Arena.

Kate Martin went from being a second-round pick in the 2024 draft by the Las Vegas Aces to an important part of the two-time defending champions' rotation. Martin has also become a fan favorite for the Aces faithful, and many were concerned when she suffered a right foot or leg injury in the team's final game before the break.

Martin lost her footing against the Chicago Sky early in the first quarter, and it was a non-contact injury, with many fearing a torn Achilles tendon. However, Martin's father, Matt, provided an update on her injury before the start of the All-Star Weekend.

Matt told KCCI Des Moines that Kate suffered a bruised Achilles tendon on her right foot. It was not a significant injury but will need to take some time to recover. The Olympic break came at a great time for the Iowa product since she can heal properly.

Kate Martin returns to Las Vegas Aces practice

The WNBA took a break starting in mid-July due to the 2024 Paris Olympics, wherein 12 of the best players will represent Team USA. It gave the other players a longer time to recover and prepare for the second half of the season, including Kate Martin.

Martin returned to practice last week and seems to be doing fine after a scary injury. She was recently seen in a post by the Las Vegas Aces on Instagram. She was practicing with veteran forward Alysha Clark and could be ready to return to the lineup at the start of the second half of the season.

The Aces had a rough start to the season with a record of 16-8 in the first half of the season. To put things into perspective, they only had six losses in the regular season last year and already have eight midway through the current season.
