Watch: Angel Reese skips acknowledging Caitlin Clark after winning the half-court shot contest ahead of All-Star day

Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark can put aside whatever difference they might have to join forces this weekend. The two young stars are set to team up for Team WNBA in the 2024 All-Star Game after the season's first half ended.

Clark has been known for making half-court shots during shootarounds. Amid preparations for Saturday night's duel, the WNBA Team engaged in a shooting contest.

A video shared by Washington Post's Kareem Copeland on X, formerly known as Twitter, showed Reese making a half-court shot before anybody, including Clark.

After Reese made the shot, she went to celebrate with the rest of the team but Caitlin Clark. Even though the Fever's guard was all smiles after that shot, Reese didn't pay much attention to her, focusing on other teammates.

The video shows Clark smiling after Reese made the shot and the Chicago Sky forward celebrating with the rest of the team. Clark attempted a shot to the unofficial rim before presumably waiting for her turn again.

After multiple duels in college and the WNBA, Clark and Reese are set to team up for the first time. The Sky and Indiana Fever are after the same goal, trying to make a push for the playoff once the league resumes activities following the Olympic break.

Caitlin Clark predicts Angel Reese will have a notable performance at the All-Star Game

Caitlin Clark discussed her excitement about playing alongside Angel Reese in the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game.

"Yeah, I am very excited. I think it's cool," Clark said. "It is rare to have two rookies in the All-Star game, so just enjoy that. Obviously the fans are super excited about it. I think it's just really good for the W (women's basketball)."

Moreover, she praised Reese's season and predicted the former LSU star would lead the game in rebounds.

"She is having an incredible year so it's going to be incredibly fun. She is probably going to lead the game in rebounds. I expect that out of there because that's what she does."

The WNBA Team will face Team USA in this edition of the All-Star Game, with Clark and Reese leading the way for the league's team. On the other end, veterans like A'ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu will try to beat the younger players.

Reese's Chicago Sky is on a 10-14 record, trailing the Indiana Fever (11-15) and ranking eighth in the WNBA standings.
