After about a week on the West Coast, Angel Reese returned home to Maryland over the weekend and reunited with her brother Julian. They even did a TikTok dance before heading to the M&T Bank Stadium to watch the Baltimore Ravens battle the Buffalo Bills.
In a post on her official TikTok account, Angel and Julian danced to the tune of Surf Curse's "Disco." She was still sporting a cast on her left wrist, three weeks after undergoing season-ending surgery. Her absence impacted the Chicago Sky as they missed the playoffs.
"My not so little brother," Reese wrote in the captions.
Angel Reese and his brother Julian were born and raised in the Baltimore area by their single mother. She supported her children's dreams of playing basketball, with Angel now a star in the WNBA. Julian, on the other hand, is an incoming senior for the Maryland Terrapins.
The Chicago Sky star played two years in Maryland before transferring to LSU as a junior. Since they both played basketball, it was natural to have a sibling rivalry. Here's what Angel told What's Up? Media in an interview in 2022 about growing up with a brother:
"Everything was always competitive with my younger brother. We had a basketball court in front of our house, and it was always very competitive and intense. We played all the time together. It helped shape me to who I am now," Angel said.
Julian Reese is coming off the best year of his collegiate career. He averaged 13.7 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.9 blocks per game as a 6-foot-9 forward.
Angel Reese at Baltimore Ravens game with her family
Angel Reese was at her second straight Sunday Night Football game after attending the LA Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers matchup last week. Reese was back home in Maryland and was a special guest of the Baltimore Ravens. They gifted her own Ravens No. 5 jersey.
The Ravens hosted the Buffalo Bills as they seek their second win of the season after a rough 0-2 start. Reese was joined by other special guests such as Bub Carrington of the Washington Wizards, and Olympic athletes Masai Russell and Quincy Wilson.
Julian Reese was also in attendance, joining her sister on the sidelines before the game started. They were photographed with other special guests just like in Angel's appearance at SoFi Stadium last week. She was with former Rams offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth.
