Did Angel Reese just make her Hollywood debut? Absolutely. The Chicago Sky rookie had been hinting for a while that big news was on the horizon, and now it's here. Fans got a glimpse of her silver screen acting debut with the release of the new promo for the musical/fantasy movie "Wicked," starring Ariana Grande, on Friday.

In the clip, the 6-foot-3 forward makes a strong entrance, sporting a stylish black and white jersey with cameramen and paparazzi in the background. She then performs a series of basketball drills before sinking a shot. The sequence cuts to a close-up shot of Reese stepping on the hardwood, saying:

"There's a lot of noise out there. It can surround you, pull at you and weigh you down. But I've got other plans. Defy gravity. Rise above the noise. Nothing's gonna bring me down."

Details on Reese’s character are not fully disclosed. However, the promo indicates that she plays herself as a hooper.

While there is still uncertainty about whether Reese and the Sky will make the WNBA playoffs, Reese’s acting debut is set to hit theaters on Nov. 22, 2024, with Part Two scheduled for release on Nov. 26, 2025.

Alongside Ariana Grande, the film also stars Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Peter Dinklage and more.

Angel Reese reveals why she started her podcast

On Wednesday, Angel Reese revealed yet another business venture with the launch of her podcast, “Unapologetically Angel.” Posting glimpses of her first episode on X/Twitter, Reese gushed about her new project in the caption:

"💞SO EXCITED FOR THIS!"

In an interview with Complex, Reese opened up about why she started the podcast:

"It’s another way for me to connect with my fans and reach new audiences I wouldn’t necessarily have before. I can’t wait to share a different side with listeners and have them come on this ride with me."

The Rookie Of The Year contender said that she wants her podcast to be a platform for genuine and honest conversations. She explained that she plans to discuss various topics, including basketball, fashion and entertainment. Angel Reese has also hinted that fans can expect interviews with Meg Thee Stallion, Latto and Cardi B in future episodes of her podcast.
