Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever had a little fun on their day off ahead of their first matchup with the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday. Clark and her teammates enjoyed the pool as part of their recovery following as they inch close to the end of a five-game road trip.

In a video posted on social media, Lexie Hull jokingly asked Clark if she wanted to be a mermaid. The Fever star obliged and nodded before making her way to the other pool where some of her other teammates were enjoying a nice ice bath.

"Wanna play mermaids?" Hull asked.
"Yeah," Clark replied.

Caitlin Clark did not like the ice bath and quickly returned to the original pool where Lexie Hull was also chilling. Clark and her teammates are slowly building chemistry after a rough start to the season. They enter Sunday's game on a two-game losing streak, but have won six of their last 10 games.

Caitlin Clark reveals her WNBA idol growing up

In an interview ahead of the Indiana Fever's game against the Phoenix Mercury, Caitlin Clark was asked about who her idol growing up. Clark revealed that she looked up to Diana Taurasi, who was one of the players critical of the rookie before the season started.

"That's somebody I grew up idolizing and looking up to and wanting to be like one day. Obviously, she's one of the greatest players our game has ever seen, the greatest scorer our game has ever seen, so for me, I'm excited. That's fun. Kind of like a dream come true. You get to live out your dream while playing against the best," Clark said.

Clark and the Fever are on a two-game losing streak ahead of Sunday's game. The Mercury, on the other hand, are coming off a huge win over the LA Sparks. They have also won six of their last 10 games like the Fever.

What's next for Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever before the All-Star and Olympic break?

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever continue their five-game road trip on Sunday against the Phoenix Mercury at the Footprint Center. It will be the first matchup of the season between the two teams, with it being advertised as a battle between Diana Taurasi and Clark.

The Fever will then end the road trip against the back-to-back defending WNBA champions Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday. They will return home to Indiana for a three-game series against the New York Liberty, Washington Mystics and Phoenix Mercury.

Before the All-Star and Olympic break, the Fever have two more games on the road versus the Dallas Wings and Minnesota Lynx. WNBA players not called up by their respective national teams will have a one month break before the season resumes on August 15.
