Caitlin Clark was handed a technical foul during the third quarter of the Indiana Fever vs Seattle Storm contest. The referees called a tech on the Fever rookie after she was spotted striking the stanchion as a reaction to a missed shot prior.
While Clark looked visibly frustrated after missing the shot, her reaction upon hearing the whistle was one of utter disbelief.

During their next possession, Clark contributed to a pick-and-roll which resulted in two points for the Fever. With that basket, they found themselves leading by six points (45-39) with just a little under seven minutes left in the third quarter.
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever win second straight game after month-long break
The WNBA season was paused for a month to give way to the 2024 Paris Olympics. While this break allowed the WNBA athletes who were a part of Team USA Women's National Basketball team to compete, it also allowed other players to recuperate.
One player who seemed to have benefitted from the month-long break was Caitlin Clark. In the Fever's first game back, Clark secured a double-double against the Phoenix Mercury. The 2024 first-overall pick scored 29 points and tallied 10 assists, leading her team to a nine-point win (98-89).
Clark followed that performance up with another fantastic showing against the Seattle Storm. In the Fever's dominant 17-point victory (92-75), she nearly notched another double-double, finishing the game with 23 points and nine assists.
Other key performers for the Fever were Kelsey Mitchell, who scored a game-high 27 points, Aliyah Boston who grabbed 15 rebounds, and Lexie Hull, who displayed her elite shooting skills by knocking down six threes out of seven attempts.
The Fever have now improved to 13-15 for the season and have climbed to seventh in the standings. This turnaround is even more impressive considering that this team lost eight of their first 10 games this season.
With only 12 games left on their regular season schedule, Indiana appear to have hit form at just the right moment. They are now in prime position to make the Playoffs for the first time since 2016, while Caitlin Clark is making a strong case for Rookie of the Year.
