Los Angeles Sparks' Center Cameron Brink ruptured her ACL in Tuesday's 79-70 loss to Connecticut Sun and is out for the season. The true rookie spirit came to the fore as Angel Reese provided some words of support to her fellow draftee on X, stating:
“Prayers for my sweet girl! @cameronbrink22 🙏🏽”

Cameron Brink, who was the No. 2 overall pick of the team in the 2024 WNBA Draft, got hurt with 6:23 left in the opening quarter when she caught a pass at half-court tried to drive for a layup, and collided with Brionna Jones, dropping to the court. She tried to keep going but needed help to stand and limped off toward the Sparks bench.
Brink will be out for the rest of the 2024 WNBA season and also miss the Paris Olympics.
