The energy around Caitlin Clark is good for the league, WNBA star says
Ever since she took over the collegiate scene, fans have followed Caitlin Clark's every move. While she was still in Iowa, Clark showed her brilliance on the court, which paid off as she was drafted with the top pick. And when she was drafted, she set a record for having her jersey sold out hours after her selection.
Now that she's in the WNBA, fans have followed her and are excited to see her take over the league. Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson believes that the hype around Clark is great for the league.
"It's a huge moment for us," Wilson, the reigning WNBA Finals MVP, said. "It's popping, but I hope it continues. I hope the investment is there to stay and it's not just a trend that's going to fizz out ... I'm excited to be in it."
According to sources, around 90% of Clark's rookie season will be televised. This will allow fans to watch her even without having to be in the arena. Also, ticket sales have skyrocketed since she was drafted into the league.
This could also improve the viewership of the WNBA and possibly improve the salary that the players are getting.
