Several Las Vegas Aces players had a nice gesture for newly-crowned WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson.

As they arrived at Barclays Center for Game 1 of their second-round series against the New York Liberty, fans noted that several players, including Kelsey Plum and rookie Kate Martin, donned Wilson's jersey ahead of this game.

Besides Plum and Martin, Sydney Colson, Tiffany Hayes, Kiah Stokes, Alysha Clark, Megan Gustafson, Jackie Young, Kierstan Bell, and Chelsea Gray were shown wearing this jersey in the video.

A'ja Wilson and her Las Vegas Aces will face their biggest challenge so far in the 2024 WNBA playoffs. After taking care of the Seattle Storm (2-0) in the first round of the postseason, the Aces are ready to face their opponents from the 2023 WNBA Finals.

After a terrific 2024 WNBA season, Wilson became the second player to win the MVP award unanimously after Cynthia Cooper did it in 1997. Wilson got all 67 first-place votes to rack up 670 points, beating Napheesa Collier (467 points) and Breanna Stewart (295 points) to bag this award.

Las Vegas wasn't as dominant as last season, finishing the season with the fourth seed in the league. Now, they are trying to three-peat in the WNBA and Wilson is their most dangerous card.

A'ja Wilson shared her mindset for this season

After losing the award in 2023 to Stewart, finishing third behind the Liberty star and Connecticut's Alyssa Thomas, A'ja Wilson entered the season with a clear goal in mind: confirming that she was the best player in the league.

"That was kind of my mindset going into this year -- I didn't want to leave any doubt," Wilson said last week. "I needed to establish myself to say, 'This is what I'm working hard towards, and now it's time to showcase everything I've been working on.' "

2024 was a magical year for Wilson, who eclipsed the 1,000-point mark, becoming the first WNBA player to do so while setting the league record for rebounds in a single season with 451.

Despite their tumultuous regular season, the Aces remain a threat in the WNBA and until they're officially eliminated, you should never count them out.

Wilson averaged 26.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.8 steals, and 2.6 blocks per game, recording 23 double-doubles while shooting 51.8% from the field, 84.4% from the free-throw line, and a decent 31.7% from deep.
