The Phoenix Suns had their season cut short in the first round of the playoffs by the Minnesota Timberwolves. So, Kevin Durant showed up to support his team's sister franchise, the Phoenix Mercury, playing against the Dallas Wings.
Durant sat in the front row, and the Phoenix Suns star kept his look casual. He donned a grey hoodie with black jeans. To finish the look, the two-time NBA champion wore the Oakland Athletics New Era green-and-yellow hat.
In the video posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), the Suns star has quite a serious facial expression. But when his friend arrives with drinks and says a few words, his face lights up. Durant also met with the Mercury players Diana Taurasi, Kahleah Copper, and Natasha Cloud, greeting them all with a warm hug.
The Phoenix Mercury, however, failed to secure a win on Saturday night despite Kevin Durant's support. They lost the game 107-92 to the Dallas Wings, getting outscored in three of the four quarters. The Wings played much better than the Mercury and punished them for their every mistake on the court.
Arike Ogunbowale put on a masterclass, scoring 40 points, collecting seven rebounds, and dishing out four assists to lead her team to victory. As for the Mercury, Kahleah Copper led the scoring charts with 32 points and tried her best to save the day.
