One of the main criticisms of the WNBA is that its players aren't as skilled as their male counterparts. Recently, one YouTuber proved that the women in the pros are far from average on the hardwood.

During a recent video for his channel, Tristan Jass snuck in a WNBA All-Star to an open run with all guys. The trick was, he did not tell them who she was before they started to play. As expected, everyone in the gym quickly found out that she was not just a normal everyday player like them.

The All-Star Jass brought with him was Arike Ogunbowale of the Dallas Wings. She did not hold back during the video, knocking down an array of shots. It got so bad that opponents tried double-teaming her but it still didn't work.

Ogunbowale, a former top-five pick back in 2019, has received All-Star nominations on four separate occasions. While the Wings struggled overall, she put together one of her best seasons in the pros.

Across 38 games, Ogunbowale averaged 22.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2.1 steals. Besides scoring, these were all career-highs. Ogunbowale was just behind her top scoring season, averaging 22.8 points in 2020.

In this video, Ogunbowale showed that female pros are also some of the most skilled players in the sport just like the guys in the NBA.

WNBA All-Star reacts to indirectly being called old

With the WNBA in its offseason now, Arike Ogunbowale is enjoying some downtime in between training for the 2025 season. She recently took to social media to talk about a funny encounter she had while being a patron at a basketball game.

In a post made on X (formerly Twitter), Ogunbowale talked about an encounter she had while at a high school game. During a stoppage in play, one of the refs came over and said things have changed a lot from her days at that level. Ogunbowale, 27, proceeded to jokingly go on a rant about being considered old now.

Before she suits up for her seventh WNBA season, Ogunbowale will have the chance to make history. She was among the group of players signed to compete in the first season of the new "Unrivaled" league.

Ogunbowale was chosen to the "Vinyl Basketball Club" squad in Unrivaled. She'll be led by former Chicago Sky head coach Teresa Weatherspoon. Her teammates are Jordin Canada, Rhyne Howard, Rae Burrell, Aliyah Boston and Dearica Hamby.

The season kicks off on January 17th, and Ogunbowale will be in action on opening night. Vinyl is in the second game of a double-header, taking on Rose Basketball Club.
