WNBA fans had a lot to say after Satou Sabally announced her career with the Dallas Wings has come to an end and she will be a free agent. The German-American player has been with the Texan franchise since 2020 after being selected with the No. 2 overall pick in that year's draft.

Sabally has become one of the best players in her position, becoming a two-time WNBA All-Star and winning the Most Improved Player award in 2023, but has decided to look for a new challenge. Plenty of fans were quick to react to the news and some linked her with a move to the Indiana Fever.

"Shocker. Welcome to the Fever!!!" one fan wrote.
"Satou Sabally you are a Fever," another fan said.

Others named different teams as the next destination for the German-American star.

"She's going to Chicago," one fan claimed.
"If she goes to the liberty the rest of the league is playin for second place frfr," another fan said.

In 97 WNBA games, Satou Sabally averages 15.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game. She shoots 41.8% from the field, including 33.6% from deep and 84.8% from the free-throw line.

The 26-year-old forward will be one of the most intriguing free agents in the WNBA's upcoming free market. She's been mentioned in the same sentence as several teams, but the Indiana Fever appear to be a strong candidate to acquire her services.

Satou Sabally had sparked Fever speculation with social media announcement

Back in October, Satou Sabally announced that she wouldn't return to the Wings and would become a free agent instead. At the time, rumors of a possible partnership with Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston surfaced, with other fans trying to recruit Sabally to Indiana.

The Dallas Wings are in the middle of an offseason full of changes. Even though they secured the No. 1 pick in the 2025 WNBA draft, they will lose one of their best players. More than that, they parted ways with coach Latricia Trammell after two seasons.

The Indiana Fever have an intriguing project led by Caitlin Clark, but also players like Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell. Adding Satou Sabally to the mix would make them instant contenders.

First, the former No. 2 overall pick has to defend the Lunar Owls in the first-ever Unrivaled season. Once her participation is over, this conversation will get hotter.
