On Mar. 10, Sabrina Ionescu married Hronis Grasu in Laguna Beach, California. The couple's family and friends attended the wedding ceremony.
However, Ionescu once admitted she delayed her wedding with Grasu. During her conversation with the New York Post in September last year, Ionescu said:
"Well, um, I haven’t don’t any yet. I’d say we’re both a little busy. I’m a little bit of a procrastinator, so that there’s that."
A lot was going on in the Liberty Star's life then. Nike released Sabrina's first signature shoe, Sabrina 1s, and she was eyeing to help her team win their first-ever WNBA championship. While the shoe launch was a success, Ionescu's hopes of helping her team win the 2022-23 season championship were shattered as the LV Aces defeated them with a 3-1 record in the final.
As for Grasu, the professional football player had signed with the LV Raiders in September last year and was busy with his NFL schedule. So when Ionescu was asked about the timing of her wedding, she had a good explanation.
"So, it was just timing," Ionescu told the NY Post on Sep. 9, 2023. "It had to be within our off-seasons. We have an idea of what we want and how everything should look and what we’ll need. It’s still a couple months away and we’ll get everything rolling, but I haven’t had too much time to devote to that side of it just yet."
Everything turned out great eventually as the Liberty Star married the Raiders' Center in a stunning wedding ceremony earlier this year. Ionescu also achieved her dream of winning the championship as the NY Liberty lifted their first-ever title after defeating the Minnesota Lynx with a 3-2 record in the final series.
Nike to launch Sabrina Ionescu's signature show Sabrina 2s' "Trust Your Game" edition
Sabrina Ionescu's signature shoes have become quite popular among hoopers. As per Sneaker News, Nike is now set to launch a new edition of Ionescu's Sabrina 2s in December. On Nov. 26, House of Heat shared pictures of the upcoming sneaker on X.
The shoes have a lime yellow accent on the whole body and a blue signature Nike swoosh. The upper panels of the sneakers create a lighter contrast with the Alabaster white accent and the bright red color on the flywire cables.
The tongue of the sneaker has the signature "S" logo, which is common in signature Sabrina Ionescu shoes. As per Sneaker News, the Sabrina 2s "Trust Your Game" will retail for $130.
