Napheesa Collier vs DeWanna Bonner
The two players that will be looked out for are Lynx’s Napheesa Collier and Sun’s DeWanna Bonner.
Bonner has been with the Sun’s squad since 2020. Helping the Sun to their first WNBA title will surely be high on the 37-year-old's to-do list.
Meanwhile, averaging 40.0 points per game in this year's playoffs, Collier is in her best form of the season at the right time.
She won the WNBA Defensive Player of the Year award after averaging 9.7 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.4 blocks per game (all career highs) while scoring 20.4 points per game in 34 regular season starts. She will again be the focal point of the opposing team on Sunday.
Game Preview
The two teams faced three times during the regular season, with Connecticut winning 2-1. Despite losing the season series versus Connecticut, Minnesota holds a home-court advantage owing to their higher WNBA standing.
They will host Games 1 and 2, with the series moving to Connecticut for Games 3 and 4. If required, a deciding Game 5 will be held in Minneapolis. The winner of this series will face either the top-seeded New York Liberty or the defending champion Las Vegas Aces, who begin their series at Barclays Center.
