The Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky complete their 2024 WNBA season series on Friday in Chicago. The Fever lead the Sky 2-1 after a 71-70 win on May 31, followed by a 91-83 win on June 15. However, Caitlin Clark and Co. squandered the chance to close the season series on June 23, losing 88-87.

Indiana Fever favorites to claim season series against Chicago Sky

The Indiana Fever are the favorites to win Friday's contest against the Chicago Sky. The oddsmakers have listed the Fever as -5-point favorites with a -225 money line. Meanwhile, the Sky are +5 and +185. Additionally, the Sky will also be missing their best scorer, Chennedy Carter, who is ruled out because of an illness.

The Sky are already struggling to find any momentum offensively, while their defense has dropped, too, especially after the Olympic and All-Star break got over. The Sky are 1-5 since then.

The Sky's hopes of a win rest on Angel Reese's shoulders. While her numbers look impressive since the season resumed (12.5 points and 17.0 rebounds per game), her shooting has been abysmal, as she's converting only 32.1% of her field goal attempts.

The Sky can't afford another inefficient outing from Reese, especially with Carter not playing. It might not be as close of a game if the Sky can't manage to produce the goods offensively.

On the other hand, Caitlin Clark and the Fever are rolling with a 4-1 record since the Olympic and All-Star break. Their offense is clicking at the right time, with Kelsey Mitchell and Lexie Hull turning a corner. Clark, meanwhile, looks more settled, showing impeccable chemistry with her teammates.

She has put up 22.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 7.8 assists, shooting 45%, including 34% from 3 and 95% from the free-throw line in the past five games.
