Last weekend, WNBA star Angel Reese was the subject of controversial comments from online personality Charleston White during a guest appearance on Jeff Teague's "Club 520 Podcast." During the episode, the outspoken and often-time controversial White made several controversial comments about Reese that went viral.
While Teague and the show's co-hosts apologized for White's comments on the next episode and didn't post the full episode with White, Jalen Rose's daughter, Mariah, aimed the show in a recent video.
The daughter of the former NBA vet reportedly worth $50 million according to Celebrity Net Worth, often weighs in on topics surrounding the WNBA. On Friday, she took aim at Teague and the "Club 520 Podcast" for the situation.
"The video opened up with them saying, Angel Reese don't want to be a basketball player," Mariah Rose said in a video on X. "She needs to go sell her coochie, and she needs to be on OF (OnlyFans). Angel Reese is 22 years old. We know her from her college career. ... In that same conversation, they were like, all right, we need to chill because we want to go to WNBA All-Star weekend.
Are you joking? Why would any black man feel comfortable speaking or joking about Angel Reese like that? Why is that funny?"
What did Charleston White say about Angel Reese during the "Club 520 Podcast"?
Charleston White's appearance on the "Club 520" podcast wasn't the first time the controversial online personality commented about Reese. Last year, after Reese expressed her disappointment over Donald Trump winning the U.S. presidential election, White targeted her on his show.
Reese ignored him and didn't respond, much like this current situation involving the "Club 520 Podcast." Then, this week, during a guest appearance on the show, White joked about the sexuality of WNBA players, including Caitlin Clark and Reese.
He said he agreed with Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal's controversial comments about Reese during an appearance on her "Unapologetically Angel" show.
"I'm with Shaq," White said on the podcast. "Dunk in some panties with no bra on. That's how you sell tickets. We need an OnlyF**s WNBA-then I'll tune in."
O'Neal's comments had fans questioning him considering the LSU alum has been considered a paternal figure for Reese.
