Angel Reese is participating in her first-ever All-Star game, playing for Team WNBA against the Olympics-bound Team USA. One of the two rookies voted to be in the game, Reese will be one of the attractions in the All-Star festivities as one of the most popular players in the league today.
Hours before the All-Star game, the Chicago Sky forward entered the arena with a chic brown outfit to celebrate her career milestone.
Angel Reese’s entrance caught fans’ attention as they reacted on social media.
"Why her toes longer than her shoe? She still look good," said one fan.
“I love my girl, but her walking in heels just don’t come together,” said another fan.
Some fans of Reese also think that she needs to take some lessons in walking with heels, as they expect her to be one of the most prominent players in the WNBA for years to come.
“(Think) still needs just a couple more classes in these heels but she’s smart, she taking it slow, and still keeping it cute. Straight gorgeous! Love it!” one fan suggested.
In general, fans were understanding of Reese as they were full of praise for her ahead of her first WNBA All-Star appearance.
"Damn she is beautiful," said one fan.
"I'm so proud of her. She looks amazing too. Turn up, Angel," said one fan.
"It's giving double-double energy," said another fan.
Joining Reese in Team WNBA are DeWanna Bonner Aliyah Boston, Caitlin Clark, Allisha Gray, Dearica Hamby, Brionna Jones, Jonquel Jones, Kayla McBride, Kelsey Mitchell, Arike Ogunbowale, and Nneka Ogwumike.
On the other hand, Team USA is bannered by A'ja Wilson, Diana Taurasi, and Britney Griner as part of their preparations for the Paris Olympics next week.
Angel Reese expresses sadness over absence of family members in her first All-Star game
Despite celebrating her first All-Star appearance, Angel Reese laments the absence of some of her family members.
She jumped to social media to express her sadness about the matter. She, however, did not mention any reason why.
"My mom & brother won’t able to be at my first all star," Reese wrote.
Angel Reese has been taking the WNBA by storm in the past few weeks ahead of the All-Star game as she broke the league’s consecutive double-double record with 15.
Reese has tallied 17 double-doubles this season so far, five double-doubles away from the rookie record set by Tina Charles in 2010.
Reese has been averaging 13.5 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game to lead the Chicago Sky to a 10-14 record. Along with Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark, Reese has been one of the leading candidates for this season’s Rookie of the Year.
