WNBA Finals MVP Jonquel Jones reminisces club night fun with A Boogie wit da Hoodie

Jonquel Jones has had an exciting couple of days, from winning her first WNBA championship to partying alongside rappers in the club. On Tuesday, the 2024 WNBA Finals MVP posted about her club celebration.

Jones revealed she was celebrating with A Boogie wit da Hoodie after winning the championship. She shared a post on X.

"I was really in the club throwing racks with A Boogie last night. WE OUTSIIIDEEEE #RandomSideQuest #ChampionshipTour," Jones posted along with money and trophy emojis.

A Boogie wit da Hoodie is a prominent New York Liberty fan, cheering for his hometown team.

He was born in Highbridge, New York and supports both the New York Knicks and the Liberty. He is a multi-platinum recording artist and has sold over 5.5 million albums worldwide.

On Sunday, the New York Liberty won their first WNBA championship in franchise history. The Liberty defeated the Minnesota Lynx in five games in the WNBA Finals.

Jonquel Jones added two impressive accolades to her Hall of Fame-caliber resume, winning her first championship and being named the Most Valuable Player of the finals.

In five games, Jones averaged 17.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists, shooting 56% from the field.

In her nine-year career, Jones has made five WNBA All-Star game appearances, earned five All-WNBA nods, and four WNBA All-Defensive nods.

Jones won the league's MVP award in 2021, the Sixth Woman of the Year award in 2018 and the Most Improved Player award in 2017.

She has recorded an average of 13.3 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 blocks per game, shooting 51.7% from the field and 37.7% from beyond the arc.

Jones also had two seasons averaging a double-double (2017, 2021). In 2023, she earned All-Defensive second-team and All-WNBA second team honors.
