Earlier this week, WNBA free agency officially got underway. With players now able to negotiate new deals, one multi-time All-Star could be on her way to a contender.
Looking at the 2025 free agency class, one of the more interesting names is Brittney Griner. After spending more than a decade with the Phoenix Mercury, the 10-time All-Star reportedly plans on testing the open market.
As Griner gets ready to test her market, Jack Maloney of CBS Sports put together three teams she could potentially sign with. Among those mentioned was the Las Vegas Aces.
"If Griner is willing to take less money for a year to compete for a title, the Aces would give her that opportunity," Maloney said. "She wouldn't be a perfect fit, but that's going to be the case everywhere given her skillset. There's no denying her offensive talent, and she would help take some of the scoring burden off of Wilson and Co., while also providing some rim protection."
If Griner joins the Aces, she'd have the opportunity to play with one of the WNBA's top superstars, A'ja Wilson. As a multi-time scoring champ and Defensive Player of the Year, Griner and Wilson could be the best center rotation in the league.
WNBA Free Agency: Brittney Griner meeting with multiple teams while playing in Unrivaled
While she is currently showcasing her skills in Unrivaled, Brittney Griner is not letting it get in the way of her WNBA free agency. The former No. 1 pick plans to meet with multiple teams while in Miami.

Despite being in the later stages of her WNBA career, Griner is still an impactful player. Last season, she averaged 17.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks for the Mercury. On top of landing her 10th All-Star nomination, she also traveled to Paris with Team USA and won a gold medal.
While weighing her options, Grinery will attempt to up her stock in Unrivaled. She is playing for "Phantom Basketball Club," playing alongside fellow All-Star Sabrina Ionescu and Satou Sabally. Griner has played in two games thus far, averaging 10.0 points and 5.5 rebounds.
