WNBA legend Sheryl Swoopes has done everything to avoid talking about Caitlin Clark despite what the Indiana Fever rookie has accomplished already. But Swoopes did respond to an online troll on social media.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Swoopes clapped back to an online troll who called the four-time WNBA champion a "racist b*tch" and "has been h*e." She seemingly laughed it off by using a meme to describe how rude the troll was.

"Now Alex, that's Mrs. to you," Swoopes tweeted.

Sheryl Swoopes not giving a lot of props to Caitlin Clark is not new since it has been going on since the 22-year-old guard was a junior in Iowa. Swoopes was not impressed when Clark broke her NCAA record for most points scored in a single tournament.

"To me, she broke the record, but she did it in six games. I didn't get that sixth game, so I set the record in five games. So to me, yes, she broke the record, but she did it in six games," Swoopes told Jordan Robinson of the PAC-12 Network last year.

The Hall of Famer continued when she spread some misinformation in an appearance on the "Gil's Arena" podcast back in January. She falsely said that Clark broke the NCAA scoring record in her fifth year and took 40 shots per game. But in reality, Clark was in her fourth year and averaged 22.7 shots per game.

Swoopes has reached a point wherein she won't acknowledge Clark's great rookie campaign that has the Indiana Fever moving to the No. 6 spot in the WNBA standings. She recently went silent when Clark's name was mentioned in a game she was calling for NBA TV.

Ron Thulin shared the news that Clark and A'ja Wilson were named WNBA's Players of the Week during the Dallas Wings-Las Vegas Aces game. Swoopes, who was calling the game with Thulin, did not speak the entire time Clark was praised, as per Awful Announcing.

There always seems to be an issue whenever the Chicago Sky take on the Indiana Fever. Caitlin Clark was fouled twice by Diamond DeShields in the fourth quarter, one of which caught the attention of fans and was called a Flagrant Foul penalty one.

It was a similar incident involving Chennedy Carter, who body-checked Clark during their first meeting earlier in the season. Nevertheless, fans went overboard for their hate of DeShields following the game.

Sheryl Swoopes went on to defend the Sky guard on X by tweeting:

"@diamonddoesit1 head up kid! Hate will not win!! You are covered and ain't nothing these evil people can do about that. All love for you!❤️"
