Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson had a rough night against the Chicago Sky on Sunday. However, she salvaged her night with a game-winning buzzer-beater to give the Aces a well-earned victory despite her struggles.

Wilson shot 8-of-28 from the field but made the most important shot in the game off a perfect inbounds pass to make the winning shot over WNBA All-Star rookie Angel Reese. She finished with 20 points, 18 rebounds and two assists.

Following her heroics, Wilson posted on X, formerly Twitter, about her performance. She jokingly called her shots “bricks” and suggested that she could have "built a house" from them after missing 20 attempts in the game.

“Could’ve built a house with my bricks today but WONT HE DO IT on this lovely Sunday afternoon 🤸‍♀️,” said Wilson.

Despite shooting poorly, A'ja WIlson remained a threat, cutting to the basket at the right time to receive a pass from Chelsea Gray that preceded the winning bucket.

In another post, Wilson also said that the basketball Gods made the final play happen, as they were smiling on her.

“The Basketball Gods said “here.. DAMN!” 😩,” she said reposting the final shot’s clip.

A'ja Wilson, a two-time WNBA MVP, has been one of the best players this season, averaging 26.8 points, 11.7 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 2.6 blocks.

A'ja Wilson expressed her discontent about players, coaches and referees during Aces-Sky game

Amidst her struggles in the game, A'ja Wilson expressed her frustration and discontent with how the game was played. She pointed out everyone, from the players and coaches to the referees.

"Everyone has to do their job. From the players, to the refs, to the coaches, we all have to do our job. I don’t appreciate being looked at and stared at as if you’re trying to intimidate me, or act like I don't have a voice on this court," Wilson said.

The Aces center called for everyone to do their job and focus on their responsibilities on the court.

"If I get fined for this, I am terribly sorry, but it's ridiculous. We've been going through this all season, so, everybody's got to do their job."

The interview happened at the end of the first quarter when Wilson shot 3-of-13, setting the tone for what was an uncharacteristic night for her, as she has shot 52.3% this season.

Despite her frustration, A'ja Wilson salvaged the win, which ended the Aces’ two-game losing skid from the Minnesota Lynx. The Aces are now 18-11 with the fifth-best record in the league.
