A'ja Wilson came to the defense of her Las Vegas Aces' teammate and rookie Kate Martin. The former Iowa athlete was trolled in a viral video of the Aces coach Becky Hammon bursting out courtside during their game against the Indiana Fever on Friday.

Wilson shared the video on her Instagram story and accompanied a caption with her post defending Martin. The video made fun of the rookie's reaction zooming on her face and displaying her reaction to Hammon's outburst.

Kate Martin didn't play in Friday's game against the Fever. The Aces secured a 78-74 victory, asserting their dominance as the reigning WNBA champions.

A'ja Wilson led the team with another double-double, netting 15 points, collecting 17 rebounds and dishing out a single assist. Kelsey Plum and Chelsea Grey also stepped up and helped their team secure the win.

Plum scored 18 points, while Gray led the charts for her team on Friday with 21 points. However, despite the Aces maintaining their winning streak over the Fever, Becky Hammon praised the Fever trio of Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell.

She called them a three-headed monster and admitted that getting into a scenario where the Aces would need to outscore them would not be easy.

A'ja Wilson (956 points) shattered Jewell Loyd's WNBA record (939 points) for the most points scored in a single season on Wednesday against the Indiana Fever. After the game, the Aces' coach, Becky Hammon, congratulated Wilson for the milestone.

She even affirmed that the Las Vegas Aces star was on her path to becoming the GOAT of women's basketball with a photograph.

"Never enough words for how GREAT this woman is as a HUMAN and a basketball player!! Super proud to witness your GRACE, your HUMILITY and the LOVE you pour into everyone around you daily!!
"Yes you’re a phenomenal player, you’ll be the greatest to ever do it, but YOU as a person will always be my favorite part of YOU!! Blessed and grateful to be a part of your journey!!" Hammon captioned her post.

A'ja Wilson is having another MVP-caliber season, averaging 27.0 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. She'll most likely earn her third league MVP title this season as her team looks forward to completing a three-peat by securing the WNBA championship.
