Nearly three weeks since suffering a torn ACL, which ended her WNBA rookie season prematurely, Cameron Brink of the LA Sparks is back on her feet. She was present to catch her team play two-time defending champions Las Vegas Aces at home on Friday, leaving fans excited and hopeful of a speedy recovery.
The second overall pick in the WNBA Draft out of Stanford arrived at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles fashionably clad in a gorgeous all-white outfit sans any brace on her injured left knee. She also sported her trademark smile as she made her way to their dugout.
Fans expressed their excitement on seeing Cameron Brink up and about following the injury she incurred that effectively derailed what was turning out to be a promising first year in the WNBA.

"Wait what? Great too see her," another one who could not control his amazement wrote.
One fan was both surprised and explorative:

Some of the comments, meanwhile, expressed lament of not seeing her on the court to help the struggling Sparks.
"Miss her on the court," a fan straightforwardly wrote.
"We need her back," another chimed in.
Of course, there were others wishing her the best in her recovery.
"Hey Cam, hope you're doing well," a concerned fan threw in.
"Omg she's walking better now?" another asked.

Cameron Brink tore her ACL in the game against the Connecticut Sun on June 18. Days later, she had surgery to repair the ligament.
At the time of her injury, the 22-year-old was averaging a team-high 2.3 blocks per contest, to go along with 7.5 points and 5.3 rebounds in 15 games. Meanwhile, against the Aces on Friday, the Sparks (4-15) ended an eight-game losing streak.
Cameron Brink determined to return after season-ending injury
Cameron Brink's knee injury stopped what was turning out to be a promising rookie WNBA season. But now she's looking to the future and resuming her professional basketball career.
The former Stanford standout shared her sentiments on Instagram after her rookie campaign come to an abrupt end after tearing her ACL against the Sun. The towering Brink said:
"You never think it will happen to you. And despite all the hard work sometimes it does. This is hard to fathom but I know it will only make me stronger.
"I will not be derailed and I will continue to love this life -- I'm not defined by basketball, but it is something that I love deeply and I will work everyday to get back to it. It's not goodbye basketball it's just a see you later..."
Apart from having her WNBA season cut short, the knee injury also meant that Cameron Brink missed the opportunity to compete in the Paris Olympic Games, where she was expecting to represent Team USA in the women's 3x3 competition.
