"You don't need to be seen with her" - Skip Bayless shades Taylor Swift while spotlighting Caitlin Clark's appearance at Chiefs game

Media personality and veteran sports analyst Skip Bayless reacted on Saturday about the appearance of singer-songwriter Taylor Swift and WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark at the divisional round matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans at the GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

Bayless referred the WNBA Rookie of the Year watching beside Swift, the girlfriend of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium. Bayless said that Clark is a more prominent personality than Swift and advised the Indiana Fever star to stay in her lane as she doesn't need to be seen with the music icon.

"WAIT, CAITLIN CLARK IS UP IN THE ARROWHEAD BOX WITH TAYLOR SWIFT??? CAITLIN, YOU DON'T NEED TO BE SEEN WITH HER. YOU'RE BIGGER THAN SHE IS. JUST STAY ON YOUR OWN PATH," Bayless wrote.

Clark was wearing a red puffer jacket and was seen embracing and celebrating with Swift several times. The NFL posted a clip of its VIP guests on X (formerly Twitter).

Clark is a well-known Kansas City fan. Fever reporter Scott Agness revealed in a post on X that the 2024 Athlete of the Year was personally invited by the three-time Super Bowl champion. Clark and Kelce reportedly first met during Swift's concert in Indianapolis.

In Clark's interview with Time in December, she revealed that Swift gifted her merchandise from the concert and invited her to watch a Chiefs game.

This season, Kelce and Kansas City are on the quest for an unprecedented 3-peat.

Skip Bayless wasn't the only one who reacted to Caitlin Clark and Taylor Swift's appearance on Saturday's NFL divisional round match. Several fans responded on X (formerly Twitter) as well.

"Caitlin and Taylor in one frame wasn't on my bingo card," a fan said.

A fan on X said that Clark and Swift might be "good friends." On Jan. 2, Clark was the special guest on the "New Heights" podcast hosted by the Kelce brothers, Travis and Jason.

"They seem to be quite good friends. Caitlyn was on the Kelce Brothers' podcast the other day, too...," another fan wrote.

"Nope nope nope ... I’m done! Taylor and CC! This video is too good to be true…," another fan posted.

Caitlin Clark had a remarkable rookie season in the WNBA after a legendary collegiate career at Iowa. She filled games in every city she played in, some teams even opting for bigger arenas when they played against Clark to accommodate more fans. She also shattered WNBA records and ratings along the way.
