In her freshman season, Ogwumike averaged 10.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 0.4 steals per game, shooting 62.9% from the field. She was fourth in points (402), third in rebounds (231), and second in field goals made on Stanford’s roster and made the Pac-12 All-Freshman team. She won the Pac-10 regular season championship and Pac-10 conference tournament championship. She also played in the NCAA Tournament and made the Final Four, averaging 15.0 points and 9.4 rebounds, recording three double-doubles in five appearances.

In her sophomore year, Ogwumike averaged 18.5 points, 9.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 0.9 steals per game, shooting 59.8% from the field. She led the conference in points (704), first in rebounds (376), first in field-goal percentage (59.8%), first in field-goals made (266), first in free-throws made (172) and first in points produced (632). After a stellar and dominating season, Ogwumike was named the Pac-12 Player of the Year and also made the AP All-America second team. She won the Pac-10 regular season championship and Pac-10 conference tournament championship. She also played in the NCAA tournament and made the National Final, averaging 19.6 points and 12.3 rebounds, recording five double-doubles in six appearances. She made the NCAA All-Tournament team and NCAA Tournament All-Region for her stellar performances.

In her junior year, Ogwumike averaged 17.5 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 0.9 steals per game, shooting 58.6% from the field. She led the conference in points (576), seventh in rebounds (251), first in field goals made (231) and field-goal percentage (58.6%), and made All-Pac-12 first team, AP All-America second team and WBCA All-America team. She won the Pac-10 regular season championship and Pac-10 conference tournament championship. She also played in the NCAA Tournament and made the Final Four, averaging 23.4 points and 6.6 rebounds, recording one double-double and making the NCAA Tournament All-Region team.

In her senior year, Ogwumike averaged 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game, shooting 54.7% from the field. She led the conference in points (809), second in rebounds (368), field goals made (307), free throws made (191), and first in points produced (733). She made the All-Pac-12 first team, AP All-America first team, WBCA All-America, and Pac-12 Player of the Year. She won the Pac-10 regular season championship and Pac-10 conference tournament championship. She also played in the NCAA Tournament and made the Final Four, averaging 26.8 points and 8.6 rebounds, recording two double-doubles, and made the NCAA All-Tournament team and the NCAA Tournament All-Region team.

Nneka Ogwumike High School

Nneka Ogwumike attended Cy-Fair High School, where she was recognized as a WBCA All-American. In 2008, she displayed her two-way versatile skills at the WBCA High School All-America Game, scoring 17 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and earning MVP honors for the White team. During the 2007–08 season at Cy-Fair, Ogwumike averaged 16.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 2.4 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game, further solidifying her reputation as a five-star rated recruit.
