Nnemkadi Chinwe Victoria Ogwumike is an American power forward who plays for the Seattle Storm of the WNBA. She was born on 2nd July 1990 in Tomball, Texas, U.S. Ogwumike started her basketball life at Cy-Fair High School which was near her hometown. She also helped the school team to win a 5A State Championship in her senior season. Then she shifted to The Stanford Cardinal women's basketball team for college basketball in 2008. In the same year, she also represented the USA U-18 team for the FIBA Under-18 Americas and became MVP in that tournament held in Argentina.

In 2012, Ogwumike was selected first overall by the Los Angeles Sparks in the 2012 WNBA draft. In her rookie season, she helped her team to a 24-10 regular season record and won the 2012 WNBA Rookie of the Year. In her entire WNBA career, she has won a lot of accolades like winning the WNBA championship in 2016 and becoming league MVP. Internationally she won two gold medals in the FIBA World Cup representing Team USA women's basketball. In the 2024 WNBA season, she has averaged 17.4 points, 2.7 assists, and 7.7 rebounds per game as of August 17, 2024.
