Born in Los Angeles, California, Noelle Quinn is the head coach of the Seattle Storm. She started as an assistant coach with the Seattle Storm in 2019 and was promoted to associate head coach in 2020 where she won her first WNBA Championship in 2020 as a coach. After long-term head coach Dan Hughes announced retirement, Noelle Quinn was promoted to the head coach position in 2021.

Former Storm player, Quinn led them to their maiden WNBA Commissioner Cup title in her first season, defeating Connecticut Sun in the finals. In the 2024 WNBA season, Quinn has led the Storm to the tied third best record in the league and tied best in the Western Conference.

Noelle Quinn College

Noelle Quinn attended the University of California, Los Angeles and joined the UCLA Bruins Women's basketball team, led by head coach Kathy Oliver in 1996. She made three All-Pac-10 teams and won the 2004 Rookie of the Year award. In her college career, Quinn played in the Women's Pacific-10 Conference and won the Pac-10 conference tournament in 2006.

She had a strong freshman season and averaged 15.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.2 steals per game, making the All-Freshman team. In her second season, she struggled with injuries and only played 16 games and averaged 16.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 3.3 steals per game. The junior season was one of her best seasons as she averaged 18.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.5 steals per game. The senior season saw her implement the three-point shot in her game averaging 2.6 attempts per game and making 1.0 three-pointers per game. She averaged 17.2 points, 6.6 points, 5.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game.

In the history of UCLA, Quinn still holds the record for most minutes played per game (36.1). She was UCLA’s offensive engine, ranking seventh in total assists (450) and seventh in total points (1827) in their history. She has the third-highest points per game (17.1) average in the history of UCLA and is second in most defensive rebounds (594) grabbed.
