Angel Reese is reportedly likely to be without four of her teammates from the 2024 Chicago Sky. The WNBA franchise was expected to go through major changes this offseason, more so considering that they parted ways with Teresa Weatherspoon after only a season with the squad.

Annie Costabile of the Chicago Sun-Times reports on Saturday that one of their restricted free agents, Chennedy Carter, won't be offered an extension this offseason, while their three unrestricted free agents Diamond DeShields, Isabelle Harrison and Brianna Turner will be shown the exit door.

"The Sky have three restricted free agents: guard Dana Evans and Chennedy Carter and forward Michaela Onyenwere. Expect Pagliocca to extend offers to Evans and Onyenwere, while Carter will be free to test the market.
"The Sky's unrestricted free agents -- Diamond DeShields, Isabelle Harrison and Brianna Turner -- are all expected to sign elsewhere," Costabile wrote on Saturday.

Costabile adds that the Sky have three positions to focus on in the free market, namely point guard, shooting guard and small forward. General manager Jeff Pagliocca will have just over $900K in salary cap space to work on the moves aimed to help the Sky return to the WNBA playoffs in 2025.

Chennedy Carter signed with the team as a training camp player, but she became much more than that, leading the Chicago Sky in scoring (17.5 points per game). Her tenure has reportedly come to an end months after Pagliocca said he'd like to keep her on the roster.

Isabelle Harrison joined the team in 2023 but made her debut with the franchise on May 28, 2024, against the Seattle Storm. She averaged 6.5 ppg and 3.9 rpg in 36 games last season.

Onyenwere and Brianna Turner were acquired in a February trade with the Phoenix Mercury, averaging 6.6 ppg and 1.2 ppg, respectively.

Chicago Sky predicted to miss out on Satou Sabally this offseason

The Chicago Sky could add one of the best power forwards in the game this free agency. Satou Sabally confirmed she played her final game with the Dallas Wings and the Sky have been named a potential landing spot for the German-American player.

However, on Thursday, IndyStar's Chloe Peterson stated that the Indiana Fever could trade for Sabally as long as they make NaLyssa Smith part of the deal. The big signed a three-year, $226,668 contract with the Fever in 2022 and her concerns over her reduced role last season could push the Fever to ship her somewhere else.
