WNBA star Satou Sabally is already drawing a lot of attention after she announced her decision to leave the Dallas Wings. During Unrivaled's media day, the German-American forward told reporters her plans to end her time with the Wings and test the waters of free agency.
This decision turned a lot of heads, as some fans instantly started telling her where she should go next. She would make a terrific addition to any of the other 12 teams in the league, but three squads especially could benefit from having a player of Sabally's caliber.
Here's a closer look at three options for Sabally via free agency to continue her WNBA career.
3 best landing spots for Satou Sabally via free agency
#1. Golden State Valkyries
The Golden State Valkyries are set to make their debut in the WNBA next season. They left an open spot on the roster after December's expansion draft and could use it to pursue a free agent in the upcoming free market.
Satou Sabally will be one of the, if not the hottest free agents available this year and the brand-new team could put its hands on the forward. Perhaps the prospect of joining another team with no actual aspirations will be a deal breaker for the player, but becoming the face of the new franchise could also be appalling to the veteran.
#2. Las Vegas Aces
The Las Vegas Aces are trying to return to the top after their second-round elimination against the New York Liberty last season. The only forward the Fever have on the roster is Alysha Clark, who is 37.
Adding Sabally to the mix could give them an unstoppable frontcourt with A'ja Wilson, but it remains to be seen if the Aces are interested in landing one of the best players in his position.
#3. Indiana Fever
Satou Sabally to the Indiana Fever has been a popular phrase among the team's fans. They want to see the 26-year-old play alongside Caitlin Clark and that idea could come to fruition soon.
Sabally is a big player who can stretch the floor, has playmaking abilities and is dangerous near the rim. The Fever could greatly benefit from acquiring her services, but would also likely have to get rid of Erica Wheeler to make room for Sabally.
As free agency gets closer by the day, the Satou Sabally rumors will only get louder. Meanwhile, she's getting ready for the inaugural Unrivaled season.
