The 6-foot-5 center, Stefanie Dolson plays for the Washington Mystics in the WNBA as of 2024. She was drafted as the sixth overall pick by the Washington Mystics in the 2014 WNBA Draft. Since being drafted, Dolson has played for the Mystics, Chicago Sky and the New York Liberty.

In her first tenure with the Mystics, Dolson made her first All-Star appearance in 2015. She was then traded to the Sky in 2017 and made the All-Star game in her first season. She then won the 2021 WNBA Championship with the Sky before signing with the New York Liberty in 2022. After playing two seasons with the Liberty, Dolson returned back to the Mystics in 2024 and averages 10.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 0.5 blocks per game. (Data up to September 12)

Stefanie Dolson joined the University of Connecticut and played college basketball for the UConn Huskies women's basketball team under the long-term head coach Geno Auriemma. She played in 154 games and averaged 11.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.6 blocks per game, shooting 58.8% from the field in her college career.

In her freshman year, Dolson averaged 10.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 blocks per game, shooting 61.6% from the field. She made the Big East All-Freshman team. In her sophomore year, Dolson averaged 10.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.5 blocks per game, shooting 58.6% from the field. In her junior year, Dolson averaged 13.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.5 blocks per game, shooting 59.3% from the field. She made the All-Big East first team, AP All-America third and made the WBCA All-America team.

In her senior year, Dolson averaged 12.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.3 blocks per game, shooting 56.4% from the field. She won the AAC Defensive Player of the Year, WBCA Defensive Player of the Year, made the All-AAC first team and the AP All-America second team. Despite being a deadly three-point shooter in the WNBA, Dolson only made 16 three-pointers in her college career.

In her NCAA career, Dolson won two National titles (2013 and 2014), made two NCAA Tournament All-Region teams (2012 and 2014) and the 2014 NCAA All-Tournament team for leading the Huskies to the title. One of eight players in UConn's history to record 1500+ points and 1000+ rebounds in their college career.
