Tyasha Harris played college basketball for the University of South Carolina from the year 2016 to 2020. Harris was a point guard for the South Carolina Gamecocks team for four years where she was able to achieve many accomplishments such as the 2017 NCAA National Championship. During her four-year stay, she participated in 139 games, started 127 of them, and scored a total of 1340 points with an average of 9.6 points per game. Harris was especially effective in creating plays, setting 705 assists, which makes her the leader in the SEC.

Harris’s senior year was particularly eventful. She scored an average of 12.0 points, 5.7 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game and was awarded several awards such as the Third-team All-American by the Associated Press and the USA Basketball Writers Association in 2020. Tyasha Harris played high school basketball for Heritage Christian School in Indianapolis, Indiana. In her four years there, she won four city championships, four regional championships, and three straight state championships for her team. Harris, who was a star player in her high school team, received many awards for her performance on the basketball court; she was awarded a finalist position as an Indiana Miss Basketball in 2016 as well, as per the official Gamecocks website.

Harris scored 2,004 points in her high school career and thus, she became the Heritage Christian’s all-time leading scorer.
