China was excellent in most of the major categories during the game against Spain. The only area in which China struggled was turnovers. The Asian country turned the ball over 23 times.
Serbia's victory over Puerto Rico
Serbia eked out a three-point win in their campaign opener against Puerto Rico. In a low-scoring game, the European nation registered a 58-55 victory. Serbia dominated the game for three quarters but could only manage to score three points in the final period of the game.
Dragana Stankovic was the best player for Serbia. The 29-year-old scored 15 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, dished out one assist, recorded three steals and four blocks. She shot 6-of-12 from the field.
Serbia would look to be more efficient against China. The team shot 32.4% from the field, including 29.2% from the 3-point range. From the free throw line, Serbia shot 7-of-14.
