After another week of WNBA basketball, some teams continue to separate themselves from their competition, while other units are slowly climbing up the league. A lot of the credit goes to the players, but it should also be directed toward the coaches for their incredible work.
Managing a 40-game season is no simple task; winning one game is daunting in itself. However, that is where the brilliance of WNBA coaches comes in — they are not easily brought down by trials and tribulations.
They ensure that their teams are prepared on a nightly basis to accomplish their goals. Aside from team achievements, certain coaches are also in strong positions to win the Coach of the Year award.
Top 5 candidates for the 2024 WNBA Coach of the Year
5: Cheryl Reeve — Minnesota Lynx

In their last 10 games, the Lynx have won five games and lost five.
4: Noelle Quinn — Seattle Storm
In their last 10 games, the Seattle Storm have won seven outings and lost only three. There's no denying the incredible coaching job that Noelle Quinn has done with her team to be one of the most consistent squads this season.

3: Becky Hammon — Las Vegas Aces
After going through some injury problems and defensive lapses at the start of June, the Las Vegas Aces are back on track and looking like defending champions. Aside from the team finally getting healthy again, Becky Hammon has the Aces slowly becoming a confident two-way threat again.
The team is now on a four-game winning streak with no signs of slowing down.
2: Stephanie White — Connecticut Sun
When it comes to consistency, look no further than what Stephanie White has done with the Connecticut Sun. Building on last season's success, White has brought out the best of this Connecticut team. With the third-best offense (103.0) and the second-best defense (93.4), White has her team prepared to go all the way.
1: Sandy Brondello — New York Liberty
