The WNBA is currently on a break following a successful All-Star Weekend in Phoenix, Arizona. Team WNBA, led by Arike Ogunbowale, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, defeated Team USA in the All-Star Game. The season will resume following the 2024 Paris Olympics on Aug. 15.

But before the MVP Ladder takes a break as well, let's look at the final rankings of the first half of the regular season. A'ja Wilson remains the favorite to win the award for the third time in her legendary career. Napheesa Collier's injury has prevented her from making it an interesting race.

Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty and Alyssa Thomas of the Connecticut Sun could test Wilson in the second half of the season as well. Sabrina Ionescu continues to flourish in her best campaign yet, while Kahleah Copper, Jewell Loyd and Caitlin Clark could make their way in after the break.
