After joining Robert S. Rogers High School, Zia Cooke was a very well-known star in her freshman year she averaged 21.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 3.1 steals per game and led her team to the Division II state title in Ohio, U.S. For her extraordinary performance, she was also awarded The Blade Player of the Year in that year.
In her senior year, Cooke averaged 21.7 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game and won the state title 2nd time back to back. Again she was awarded The Blade Player of the Year for 2nd consecutive year. For school success, she got the chance to play for the McDonald's All-American Game in the year 2018.

After graduating from school Cooke joined the best college basketball team which was The South Carolina Gamecocks women's basketball team representing the University of South Carolina. In her freshman season, she became first-choice point guard for the team and she averaged 12.1 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.
