"He’s my new main": Valorant community buzzing over new Initiator Agent Tejo 

Riot Games introduced the new Initiator Agent Tejo in Valorant on January 6, 2025. He appears to have a strong kit that involves damage and scanning-based abilities that may prove to be incredibly popular among players. The news was shared via a short teaser on X.

The kit left many fans highly impressed with X user @Tribute347 saying they'd make Tejo their main Valorant Episode 10 Act 1:

"Oh he’s my new main"

Clips showcasing the new Agent, Tejo, are quickly taking the internet by storm. Awed by the post, Valorant fan @Voveyx compared the Agent with several others such as Sova, Breach, and KAY/O:

"every new agent is just abilities of previous ones redone better this guy is sova breach and kayo in one"

The comparison is rather interesting as Tejo's Stealth Drone can be compared to Sova's Owl Drone and his ultimate appears somewhat similar to Breach's Rolling Thunder. Praising Riot Games' work with the new Agent, @nottheLingerie said:

"Valorant cooked with the character design , he looks dope NGL. !"

In the recent Valorant patch 9.11, the developer nerfed pings through smokes. Bringing this change to light, X user @able_mil noted how Tejo seems to have unmissable molotov-liked abilities:

"Did we just nerf post-plant smoke spams and then add an agent with two unmissable ipad mollies?"

Finally, user @True_KHMaster predicted that Riot Games would likely nerf Tejo later this season. The player suggested that his abilities were too strong and could be considered game-breaking.

New Initiator Tejo has interesting abilities in Valorant

Tejo was revealed after several cryptic messages from Riot Games and he certainly feels like the combination of several different Initiators. His signature ability is known as Special Delivery, it's a grenade that can be launched and bounced off surfaces. After the bounce, it sticks to a surface and concusses enemies in range. The concussion is similar to Breach's signature ability.

Furthermore, Tejo has an ability known as the Stealth Drone that walks on the ground looking for targets. Once the drone discovers enemies, it can not only reveal them but also suppress them, much like KAY/O's abilities.

Tejo can also use a tactical map to use his Guided Salvo ability. You can choose up to two different areas to launch guided missiles that deal significant damage on landing. Finally, his ultimate spreads across a selected area and deals damage.
