The VCT Americas League is in Week 8 of its Regular Season, and the outcome of this week's matches will decide which teams make it to the Playoffs. There, the teams will fight for the three slots at VCT Masters Tokyo. Unlike the round-robin of the Regular Season, the Playoffs will be conducted in a double-elimination bracket format. Week 8, Day 2 will present two matches, one between Brazil's LOUD and LATAM's Leviatán.
Week 8 opened with two exciting matches. The first one between Sentinels and FURIA went the distance. The third map, Bind, ended in overtime with a score of 19-17, which was won by Sentinels, thus helping them win the BO3 series by 2-1.
The second match was different. The all-out NA match between NRG and Evil Geniuses ended with the former dominating the latter. NRG closed out the BO3 series by 2-0, securing a spot in the Playoffs.
LOUD vs Leviatán - Who will outperform the other in the match at the VCT Americas League?
Predictions
LOUD has been absolutely dominating throughout the Regular Season. Their performance at VCT LOCK//IN was astounding, and they have continued to build up on it. LOUD has won seven out of their eight Americas League matches and is sitting on top of the table.
Leviatán has been a mixed bag. Their performance at VCT LOCK//IN was notable but hasn't been the best at the Americas League. Their wins have looked dominating, whereas the losses have looked sloppy. So far, Leviatán has won four out of eight matches in the league.
The matchup heavily favors LOUD as they have crushed almost every opponent in the Americas League. Leviatán does have the talent and caliber to give them some tough competition.
Head-to-head
These teams have faced each other once before. This was during Valorant Champions 2022, where LOUD won the BO3 series by 2-0.
