Valorant Patch 10.0 will finally see the return of Fracture, more than a year after it was taken off the active competitive map pool. Fracture has remained one of the most beloved maps for players of the game. Every now and then, fans have enquired about its return to the active map rotation.

Riot Games has finally decided to bring this map back, along with Lotus, in Valorant Patch 10.0. At the same time, two currently active maps will also move out of the competitive rotation.

Fracture and Lotus will return in Valorant Patch 10.0 replacing two other maps

Fracture has been away from the active Valorant competitive map set for a really long time. This map was last seen in the competitive pool during Episode 7 Act 1. It was rotated out when Episode 7 Act 2 was released, way back on August 29, 2023. Although it has been out of reach for over a year, you will soon be able to play on Fracture once again.

Lotus was just moved out of the active map pool during the ongoing Episode 9 Act 2, and it will also return along with Fracture in Valorant Patch 10.0. The two will replace Sunset and Ascent in the competitive map rotation. Ascent is one of the original maps released for Valorant and has been a fan favorite since.

Valorant Patch 10.0 will also be the first time the Sunset map is taken out of the competitive pool since its addition in Episode 7 Act 2. Sunset recently saw some changes to its layout, especially in the A-site. Most notably, a tricky Cypher trap-wire spot was changed, forcing Sentinel players to look for alternatives or strategically place their traps.
